Wildflower photographer and enthusiast Diane Collins runs a unique business, WILDFLOWERS IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD, producing personal wildflower books.
Diane lives in Glens Falls, NY, near the Adirondack Mountains. She is an exhibiting member of North Country Arts, and her wildflower photographs have been displayed in several Glens Falls locations. Diane will work for you, or with you, to chronicle the wildflowers on your property or along a favorite trail. The flowers would be photographed and identified from May through September, and your hard cover wildflower book would be produced for you by the following spring.
Diane is also the creator of several wildflower booklets developed for local non-profit organizations:
• Most recently The Friends of Cole's Woods collaborated with Diane to publish in June 2015 TRAILSIDE WILDFLOWERS IN COLE’S WOODS, funded by a generous grant from the Glens Falls Foundation. The booklet chronicles seasonal wildflowers growing along the five miles of trails in Cole's Woods, an Adirondack woodland in Glens Falls.
• Warrensburgh Beautification Inc. (WBI) commissioned Diane to photograph wildflowers in the Warrensburgh area and design her 3rd booklet WARRENSBURGH WILDFLOWERS published in October 2008.
• HIGH PEAKS WILDFLOWERS was self-published in May 2005 and chronicles spring and summer wildflowers growing along the trail to Rooster Comb Mt. in Keene Valley, NY. Proceeds were shared with High Peaks Hospice.
• SEASONAL WILDFLOWERS ALONG THE FEEDER CANAL PARK TRAIL was first published in 2003 for the Feeder Canal Alliance in Glens Falls.
